Pierceton fourth grade students recently honored the Veterans Day holiday by meeting with local veterans themselves. Students were gifted with mementos such as key chains and lapel pins from their branches of service to the students.
All PES fourth grade students from Mr. Rhodes, Mrs. Ball and Mrs. Studebaker’s classes wrote to local veterans at that the Pierceton and Columbia City American Legions to thank the veterans for their service and to invite them to the school’s Veterans’ Day program.
Students had many questions for their veterans about their military service and were very excited to meet the veterans who were able to attend the program.
